GW1 advisory team
I’ve had the research agent running a daily strategy loop into GW1, proposing a full fifteen, chips, captain, and what would change its mind. Grok as an agent has been the primary advisory arm but I am still reviewing the team myself at this point to get an understanding of what data it is using to make its decisions. This is the current picture after the 8th, 9th and 10th of August runs. The named fifteen did not change across those three days, which is useful in itself. This probably won’t look to dissimilar to a lot of community drafts currently and the research will be influenced by those to some extent.
Confidence is still low on purpose. There is not a sealed weekly forecast packet bound and rescored against this draft yet, so this is advisory continuity from live bootstrap prices and the daily search, not a locked host-scored decision. That is the next bit to tighten before deadline.
The agent thesis
Haaland, Bruno and Gabriel as the spine. Fund that with cheap defenders that can still return (DEFCON / promoted fixtures), mid-price midfielders, and hold the chips rather than burn Bench Boost in GW1 on an enabler-heavy bench. Semenyo is on the watchlist after the City tour and associated press got pulled in.
Chip path for now has been outlined as no chip in GW1, roll free transfers, Wildcard only when early data forces a rebuild (roughly GW5 to 8, not locked to a single week, Free Hit for a blank or awkward week, Bench Boost when there is a real fifteen that all play, Triple Captain held for a double unless Haaland’s early home run looks exceptional after the minutes settle down.
Recommended 15 (as of 10 Aug)
£100.0m and legal as far as I can tell, ive been looking at a lot of these from different models and will keep running each day with new research.

GW1 XI (3-4-3): Verbruggen; Gabriel, Shaw, Mitchell; Fernandes, Rogers, Szoboszlai, Ndiaye; Haaland, João Pedro, Beto.
Captain / vice: Haaland (City vs Bournemouth, home) / Bruno (United vs Hull, away).
Bench order: Dubravka, Xhaka, Diop, van Ewijk.
What it is ignoring for now, and why
A lot of the community pressure is Bench Boost week one. This bench is still enabler-heavy (Dubravka, Diop, van Ewijk), so burning BB1 on preseason minutes looks wrong for this structure. Same for early Wildcard before any live data.
Haaland-out drafts exist and are being talked about and one of the models I used drafted one. A challenger pass on one of the early runs already forced a Haaland-in re-run against a no-Haaland alternative. Bootstrap run still has him available, Scout framing still bases the team on him, and Asia-tour absence from a listed XI is timing, not necessarily an injury flag. Community Shield and early minutes I would expect to be monitored by the runs to confirm inclusion.
Spurs number one is still a bit messy (Dubravka / Kinsky / Vicario). Keeping the £4.0 enabler until that settles rather than spending up and breaking the forward line.
The next two weeks
These are the points the primary Grok model has highlighted as decision changers over the next two weeks:
If Haaland minutes look limited after Community Shield. Gabriel rotation news. Semenyo locked as a weekly starter alongside Haaland. Spurs GK clarified. Brobbey or Calvert-Lewin ownership / minutes force a third-forward rebuild that still clears £100.0m legality.
I’ll keep publishing these as the daily runs move, especially once the deterministic comparators and sealed weekly packet are actually bound in. Until then this is the working advisory fifteen, not a final locked entry.
